Conflict Skill #1:
Diagnose the issue. Is it a “thing/issue” problem or a “people” problem? You handle them differently.
Conflict Skill #2:
What is your MOTIVE? What do you think is their motive? Forget your story, it is not 100% correct. Be kind and confident enough to say what needs to be said to the person who needs to hear it.
There is a problem in believing that others are the source of all that ails us. As much as others may need to change or we may want them to change, the only person we can continually inspire, prod and change, with any degree of success is the person in the mirror.
You must begin high-risk discussion with the right motives and be SELF-AWARE.

Handle the conflict using STATE.
