Welcome back to the Career Revolution podcast! This episode is a little different than in the past. I talk about one topic that seems to be so prevalent in my clients, family & friends. It’s so simple in it’s concept but at the same time so difficult to execute. What is it? Taking action.
After completing the Career Action Plan everyone comes away from that feeling energized for the possibilities in their life. What often happens in the ensuing weeks is people stop taking action and lose momentum which is a big downer to their aspirations.
I share a couple stories to let you know how you can take action. If you do a little thing every day it snowballs and gets bigger. Consistent small actions daily make a huge difference that will get your momentum going and you’ll be able to accomplish your goal. Up until now the Career Revolution has been giving you information. Now we talk about DOING. What action do you need to take and how? I am going to start giving you a challenge at the end of each podcast in order to implement what we talked about.
ACTION ASSIGNMENT: Sit down, look at goals you’ve made in the past. Set aside 4 days in the next week and for 15 minutes a day DO something toward that goal. Examples; Want to get healthy? Go for a walk. Need education to improve your career? Research scholarships. Want a promotion? Learn a new skill for your job.
Great things will begin to happen when you start with small actions. Email me this week at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know how it’s going. I can share your experiences with others to help the realize their own potential. The years inevitable pass so why not spend a small part of each day accomplishing something you want to do. All you have to do is try! It’s up to you, remember, it’s your career so act like it!
Tune in for the next episode to refresh your motivation and be presented with a new challenge that will help you along your Career Revolution.
