Conflict is productive! The person you argue with is adding value through their perspective whether you agree with it or not. They are helping you vet out the issue and are helping you become better at making your points understood, handling and disarming conflict.
Q: “Since we can’t tell the future how do we know when we’re making what we consider a risky career move versus the best choice for us if we are risk-averse?” -Ted, Sarasota, FL
A: There are a lot of signs. Look at the health of your organization. Ask questions and watch them in the news. Are they staying relevant? Do your research to make sure it’s safe to jump. If your company isn’t hiring they are in a static state and not healthy. Look at other positions at other companies and make sure you’re keeping up with competencies.
