  1. Implementation Intention: Plan out what you will do and when you will do it.
    • Reclaim your calendar, block it out in hour segments.
  2. Get Rid of Low-value Work:
    • A lot of the busy work you do is not necessary.
  3. Extract External Triggers: Send the signal that you are in “Do Not Disturb” mode.
    • Note the sensation that triggers distraction.
    • Crowd out the curiosity.

Learn how to control your distractions or you will never complete any deep work. Be committed when you’re working, unplug when you are not. It is a necessity to have downtime so you can rest and rejuvenate.
